among us review

 Hi everyone!  I’ve been playing among us for a while and let me tell you guys, it’s an amazing game. I decided to share with you my experience and my opinion about it with you.

It’s an online multiplayer game, developed and released two years ago, but in early September the popularity of this game have seen a huge increase due to the pandemic and the long months of quarantine.

Among us is a game of team work and betrayal in a space-themed place, where a player is either a crewmate or an impostor (chosen randomly by the game).

The game starts with waiting for 4 to 10 players to join the game in a space ship, while the host can change the sittings on the tiny computer which includes numbers of tasks, players speed, voting time and many other details. Also you can customize your character on that same computer. Besides, you can have a small conversation before playing with the other players and when anyone is rude the host can kick him or bane him from that online room. And then, when the game begins you will take one of the tow roles, the crewmate or the imposter.

Of course, like in every game, you have some objectives to do. In this game you have tow cases. First one, if you’re one of the crew your mission is to survive with your crewmates. You’ll have to fill a green bar on top of screen by doing your tasks while trying to discover the impostor (can be from one to three impostors) by noticing suspicious moves. You’ll have to react to impostor’s sabotage, call emergency meeting if you think someone is an impostor and report dead bodies so you can discuss with your mates to know the imposter and vote him out. Moreover, if the imposter killed you or your crew voted you by mistake you can finish your tasks and help saving your mates as a ghost. In the end you can be defeated or you can achieve victory.

Second one is when you’re the impostor, your mission is to kill off the crew without being suspicious. You can blend with the crew by pretending to do tasks and you can sneak through vents when you kill someone or to go to other rooms without being seen. Also you can sabotage the ship and confuse the crew. When someone suspect you, you must defend yourself and you can accuse others by giving fake arguments.

Among us takes place in 3 maps:

1.     1. The Skeld: is a spaceship, and it’s the smallest and most chosen map because it’s easy to go around and has less rooms that you can memorize their name in order report the death place to your crewmates.

1.      2. Mira HQ: is a headquarters building, medium size, and it has some few different tasks from the others, but most of them are common. It makes it easy to the imposter to sneak around and to the crew to run. It’s more fun.

1.      3. POLUS: is a planet base, and it’s the largest one. You will barely be found if you are dead and hard to be seen by others when you commit a crime. It’s the most adventurous one.

The most thing that made this game a hit for me, is that you can play with your friends or other people from around the world enjoying in the community of gaming. And I’m satisfied by this adventure, having a good time either loosing or winning. Among us is a fun and time killing game which will help in forgetting about the hard time we’ve been through.
